Clubs and Organizations

4-H programs
More than 600 youths in Crook County are involved in traditional project clubs and enrichment activities. The program has over 100 volunteers supporting various aspects of the 4-H program. Club members can choose specialties in livestock, home economics, photography, ceramics, fiber arts, leather-craft, veterinary science and more. Volunteer leaders are always needed. American Association of Retired Persons (AARP)
The Crook County Chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons meets at 7 p.m the first Tuesday of each third month at the Prineville Senior Center, 180 N. Belknap St. Membership is open to anyone age 50 or older. Meeting agendas include speakers, informative presentations and entertainment. Members are entitled to medical and prescription discounts, insurance, and a subscription to the magazine "Modern Maturity" and much more.

American Legion and Auxiliary
The American Legion and Auxiliary meet the first and third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Meetings are formal business meetings and are open to all members in good standing. The organization conducts the business of local veterans of the American Legion. The local group also participates in and donates to many civic and charitable community events throughout the year. Boys and Girls Club of Central Oregon, Prineville Branch
The Prineville Branch of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Oregon was formed in 1996. The clubhouse opened to serve youth ages 8-18 in Sept, 1997 and is now located in Cecil Sly Elementary School building on 2nd Street. Professional full time and part time staff, along with the Branch Advisory Council (active, leading volunteers), work to establish quality programs and a safe place for youth to experience positive relationships with adult mentors. Crook County Little League
The Crook County Little League Season begins each year in March; sign-ups take place in January and February. For more information, contact president Amy Stafford at 541-447-1553.

Eagles Lodge
Members of the Eagles Lodge hold two monthly meetings. The men meet the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 7:00 PM at the lodge. The Ladies Auxiliary meets the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 PM. The Eagles Lodge is located at 235 NE 4th Street and can be reached at 541-447-7659.

Lions Club of Prineville
The Prineville Lions Club sponsors many community projects with priority given to providing vision and hearing care for the needy. Lions serve as couriers to transport donated eye-tissue, and collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids for re-distribution in the U.S. and to third world nations. Lookout Montain Grange
The Lookout Mountain Grange No. 741 holds meetings on the second Saturday of each month at 10:00 AM. A potluck follows each meeting. The grange is a family-oriented community service organization founded in 1867 with roots in rural America. Membership is open to all. For more information contact Ruth at 541-447-5406.

Masonic Lodge of Prineville
The Prineville Masonic Lodge No. 76 meets at 7:30 PM the first Thursday of each month on 3rd St and Beaver St. The Masons are involved with the Shriners Hospital and Shriners activities. For more information, contact Jerald Boyd at 541-447-0883, or call the Lodge at 541-447-5242.

Prime Time Toastmasters
The goal of the organization is to assist members in developing communication and public speaking skills. Toastmasters is open to all, and meet at noon on Wednesdays at the Crook County Library Juniper Room. For information, please call 541-447-6929.

Prineville Kiwanis Club
The Prineville Kiwanis Club is a community service organization that has a focus on helping youth of the community. Kiwanis Club does numerous fund raisers and supports the community through funding such programs as Prineville Hospital Foundation, Ochoco Clinic, Crook County Library, Crook County High School Key Club, etc. Kiwanis meets every Thursday at noon at Meadow Lakes Restaurant. Prineville Moose Lodge
The Prineville Moose Lodge is located at 3770 SE Lamonta Rd. Moose Lodges throughout the nation are well known for their strong family structure, sponsorship of youth and senior programs, and community activities. For more information, call 541-447-6570.

Prineville Rotary Club

Soroptimist International of Prineville
Soroptimists are an international organization with membership consisting of business and professional women. Prineville Soroptimst formed a Charitable Trust under Soroptimist International specifically to oversee operations of the Senior Center, which they own and operate. Services provided by the center include: the meal site at the center, home delivered meals, the minibus, and the resale shop "Neat Repeat". Veterans of Foreign Wars
Dexter Fincher VFW Post and Auxiliary 1412 meet the first and third Mondays of each month at the Veteran's Club at 405 N. Main St. The first Monday of the month is devoted to business meetings which start at 7:00 PM, and are open to VFW officers and members in good standing. The monthly pot luck meetings are held on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 PM. These meetings are social for VFW members, spouses, and guests.
