The Prineville and Crook County areas are full of recreational opportunities. No matter what time of the year it is, you will always find some outdoor recreation activity to do. In the winter, you can visit the Ochoco Mtns. and sled, snowmobile, and cross country ski. You can also travel about an hour to the wonderful ski resort of Mt. Bachelor, known for its excellent down hill and cross country skiing. In the spring and summer, take advantage of the numerous rivers and reservoirs to water ski, boat, and fish.
